Why VIE?

Components of a VIE Program

A typical VIE program includes three components:

  • A visit of Paris,
  • A tour in the provinces with a certified bilingual guide, and
  • A Family Stay with a French host family

In consultation with the organizing teacher, our Paris office establishes the order of the program components to provide the best possible program at an affordable price.

Spring programs take place in February, March and April and range in length from 10 to 15 days. Summer programs take place in May and June. Most summer programs are 15 or 22 days.

VIE programs provide quality accommodations in two and three-star hotels and dinners featuring regional specialties of France.

Dedicated staff in Minneapolis and Paris work together with teachers to design programs for their group. Once the program has been planned, students receive periodic updates from their teachers about the itinerary, including the regions of France they will visit and their Family Stay location.
